What Size Do I Need?
Pick depth by what the shelf holds, and length by the wall space.

Wall studs are usually 16" apart, which sets where the brackets can land.
How much weight can it hold?
It depends on the depth, the bracket and your wall. Mounted into studs, our kits hold the loads below. Hollow-wall anchors hold less.

How to Install a Glass Shelf
You'll need a drill, level, stud finder, pencil and screwdriver.

Mark the height
Pencil the bracket positions using a level.

Find the studs
Screw into studs, or use rated anchors in drywall.

Fix both brackets
Check they are level with each other.

Set the glass
Slide it in and tighten the set screws.

Load it gradually
Stay within the weight guidance above.
Screws for stud installation are included. Hanger bolts may be needed on other wall types.

Floating kits use 3/8" clear tempered glass; bent shelves use 1/4" heat-bent glass. Every edge is polished and every corner is blunted, so there are no sharp points.

What comes in a shelf kit?
A tempered glass shelf with polished edges and blunted touch corners, two brackets in your chosen finish, and the screws to mount them into studs.
How much weight can a glass shelf hold?
Standard kits hold 55 lb, Heron kits 60 lb, and cable box and Hawk shelves 80 lb when mounted into studs. Shower and clamp-mounted shelves hold 40 lb.
Is the glass tempered?
Yes. Kit glass is 3/8" tempered safety glass — 4 to 5 times stronger than untreated glass. If broken it crumbles into small, blunt pieces rather than sharp shards.
Can I install a shelf without a stud?
Yes, with drywall anchors rated for the load, but capacity is lower. Screws for stud mounting are included; hanger bolts may be needed for other wall types.
Can I buy replacement glass without brackets?
Yes. Our glass-only shelves replace a broken shelf on brackets you already have, in every stocked depth and length.
Can glass shelves go in a shower?
Use our shower shelf kits, which clamp the glass and come in brushed nickel or chrome. Standard bracket kits are for dry walls.
What finishes do the brackets come in?
Chrome, brushed steel, brass, black, white, brushed bronze and brushed nickel — though not every style is offered in every finish. Chrome is available across the whole range.
How do I clean a glass shelf?
Use a microfiber cloth with a non-abrasive glass cleaner such as our Hi-Sheen cleaner. Avoid scouring pads.
