Using the Shopping Cart

Shopping at is very simple and very secure.  Browse through our store and find the items you desire.  Select the shapes, sizes and any customizations from the product page.  Click the "add it" button and the item is automatically placed in your shopping cart.  Some items may have additional shipping charges due to their size, weight or special handling requirements.  These additional costs ensure that the items are packaged appropriately and arrive in perfect condition to your home.  Any additional charges will be noted for each item on the product page.

Once you have everything in your shopping cart, proceed to checkout.  You can choose to sign in as a registered member of or continue shopping as a guest (signing in will allow you to track the progress of your shipment and is recommended). If you are a returning customer, you will have access to your address book and stored information once logged in.  Choose your Shipping Method, add a note with any Special Instructions and complete payment via Credit Card Payment.  The final step of the checkout process is to review your order, agree to the Terms & Conditions and click on the "Place Order" button.  A confirmation page will show a summary of your transaction and an email version of this summary will be promptly sent to the email address you provide.

Delivery Times makes every effort to get your merchandise to you as soon as possible.  Many of our items are custom made or ship direct from our vendors and manufacturers.  This includes furniture lines that you must select a finish color or fabric choice for.  Quality craftsmanship takes time, so please be patient as delivery times for these items will vary widely.

You can find a reasonable estimate of the delivery time as well as the shipping methods available (standard, freight or premium White Glove delivery) specified on every product page.  It is important to note that these are estimated shipping dates only and cannot be guaranteed by  Occasionally issues arise that are beyond our control that may lead to additional production time, such as our manufacturers experiencing a backup in production or not having all materials on hand to complete your item(s).  If this is the case you will be alerted as soon as we are made aware that any problem exists.  At this time orders placed through our shopping cart will all be shipped by the same method selected at checkout (with the exclusion of freight shipped items).  If you wish to split the shipping, please contact us to place the order by phone.

Backorders strives to provide the best selection of items, but every so often customer demand exceeds our supply.  If after placing your order you receive an emailed backorder notice, it will specify an approximate ship date for your merchandise.  If you do not wish to wait until the due date you may cancel the order and your card will be refunded. follows the industry standard "30 Day Rule" pertaining to delayed delivery of your items. This rule states that you understand the posted shipping timeframe estimates for each product ordered, and accept the estimate as part of the terms of sale. In the case where a ship date changes or is delayed longer than 30 days past the estimate for the product, you will be notified and given the option to cancel or change your order.

Canceling an Order

Suddenly change your mind?  No problem.  You have up 24 hours to contact us to cancel any order and have the amount refunded to your credit card.  After 24 hours, orders are non-refundable.

Where do we ship? is currently delivering all furniture items within the New York Tri-state area via White Glove delivery.  Many of our accessories, lamps and rugs can ship to street addresses within the continental U.S. via FedEx or UPS.  We cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. does not ship to U.S. Territories, including Puerto Rico and Guam. 


How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Please allow 12-20 business days for your order to arrive.  Merchandise is either shipped directly from a manufacturer’s warehouses or they are shipped to our warehouse for repacking and shipping to your destination.

We will send you an email notification when your package has shipped that will include tracking information. You can also view the status of your order and obtain tracking information in the Orders section of My Account.

White Glove Furniture Delivery Fees 

All furniture items purchased on are delivered via White Glove Service.  We cannot change the method of shipment upon customers request as white glove will ensure the product travels and arrives in safe condition.  

Merchandise is delivered directly from our manufacturers to our warehouse where we unbox and prep your furniture prior to it entering your home.  Our delivery service will contact you to schedule an appointment that accommodates your schedule within a 4 hour window.  Deliveries are made Monday through Saturday.  


White Glove shipping rates are as follows:

10% of your order’s subtotal (less home decor & area rugs)

$199 minimum delivery fee

$499 maximum delivery fee

Does furniture take longer to arrive?

Furniture orders often take longer to arrive due to logistics of shipping larger pieces.  We ship all furniture via White Glove Service.


Can I combine shipping fees for different orders?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer combined shipping since all accessories, lighting and rugs ship via FedEx or UPS directly from our manufacturer’s.  If the items you purchased are from different sources, we can not combine these shipping rates.  If you also purchased furniture though our site, we can store your accessories with your furniture purchase and have these items delivered with your furniture delivery.  Please contact us at [email protected] for further assistance.


Is sales tax charged on shipping and handling fees? is obligated by law to collect sales tax on shipping and handling fees associated with a taxable order shipped to a New York address.
